i am currently a seventh year md/phd student at the washington university school of medicine in st. louis, missouri, usa.  i am in the lab of maurizio corbetta and work closely with larry snyder. my doctoral research focuses on the organization of and mechanisms underlying top-down control of attention.  i graduated from washington university in 1999 with majors in philosophy-neuroscience-psychology and biology, and minors in physics and english literature.  outside of school, i like books, music, movies, and traveling.
